they are stored nutrients secretory product and pigment granules Ex: lipid droplets in fat cells, pigment granules in certain cells of skin and hair, glycogen granules in the liver and muscle cells
membranous organelle are separately enclosed within their own lipid bilayers
some of inclusion such as pigment granules are surrounded by a plasma membrane but lipid droplets and glycogens are not surrounded by a plasma membrane
they are living
they are lifeless
it is more organized at eukaryotic cell
it is found in both eukaryotic and prokaryotic cell
it is metabolically active
